I won't say goodbye....

... i won't let you slip away from me...
... well i didn't finish soldier socks this week. I
didn't finish anything. I had some real life get in the way. It gets in everyone's way. I think ... i would almost bet good money... that it will be in the way quite a bit over the next few weeks.
...don't let go...
Knitting things.... this week i received the fall issue of Vogue Knitting - it is so full of things i would knit, it is not the usual. I am usually saying "nice but no thanks" - but not this time...The cover mittens alone (Brooklyntweed's own)
are worth the price of admission. But there are sweaters i would make too - which is odd to believe as i don't gravitate there usually.
i knit two pair of booties this week for people in need of believing... the second bootie of the second pair required tinking back as it iwas not a match.
I finished season 6 of Spooks/MI5 this week. If you have not seen Spooks/MI5 (must use the politically correct title in the US) and like tight well written drama, get this from your library, your video store, your download rental place, your family as a gift. do it - you will not be sorry. I cannot wait to see a certain new character wrap his acting talents around a well written drama - and i don't have long to.
I also watched, from a recommendation, State of Play from my "queue". This british miniseries features David Morrissey, Bill Nighy, James McAvoy and John Simm, among others, and woh, tight political drama over 6 episodes. Give yourself time to watch a whole disk if you can, as it does suck you in.
ITV in GB is showing Lost In Austen. Episode 2 aired wednesday past. It is not Pride and Prejudice, but it does make you laugh. There are ways, outside britain - go and look around on You Tube. or ....(there's a wink there, you just can't see it)
I'm a bit RAstarved of late. I'm back watching North and South again. "Miss Hale, i was very ungrateful yesterday...." please watch this if you have not. Queue it, borrow it, buy it (you'll like it) ... Period drama is soooo easy to watch.... so easy to love... here is RA reading a bit of the original novel by Elizabeth Gaskell - thank you spikesbint/angelfish69 for a gift for all of us... not just richard....

am i done? don'tcha hope so? i've gone on like a cow...

no quote today.. look up a bit and listen and read mr. thornton's words... or listen to richard doing it...no audiobook, this... but rather just a sweetner....

I won't let you slip away from me, either. :)
Life certainly DOES get in the way sometimes.
In order to keep balanced when doing for others, you NEED to do something for yourself and that cover of Vogue Knitting is a real eye catcher!
You are doing the best you can!
