when you search.. you just might find...

... something you'd rather not have in your possession.

sorry to be constantly bringin' down the mood.. climbing up from the pit is not easy this time. there are many many things i have in my brain to do.. and none of them does my body want to cooperate on.

i feel like this, while public, is a quieter forum to mmphm on.. so here i am.. and here i'll stay. happy and peppy elsewhere... promise...

i've gotten past it.. it is yet again in my history...

it's october and crisp and cool (well... not so much today but it has been) and the month starting with an S has passed into oblivion. Once more.. i've come through the fire and the hollow heart that is that day, and will walk on the other side of it for a while.

in the meantime - today is a happy day. 6th wedding anniversary for the son and bride. They will spend it enjoying a lovely day and i am glad of it...

i enjoyed last weekend's getaway to Chicago - had never been there to speak of (driving through at the speed of sound with b&c and the kids does not count i am imagining) - and really enjoyed being a tourist.... one minor meltdown but i handled it.. i think.. pretty smoothly.. lol... i so enjoyed clapping eyes on people who i had previously not met in person. i got to finally hug a dear dear friend i had never met. it was special. they are friends i will not take the friendship of lightly, as they are just lovely people all 'round.

i knit on socks both on the way out and on the way back. i delivered my little cropped sweater to its recipient in Chicago and i think it was a hit.. i am always nervous and embarrassed when i give someone something i've made.. like.. couldn't you go out and buy something??? lol.. i think they liked it very much - i hope so...

the pattern is from berrocco.com and is a variation of a vintage cropped jacket the pattern is here and pretty easy to do. I love the purple and white buttons i chose.. i think they are too cute. I used Sirdar Legend DK for this sweater so it could be machine washed and dried without incident.

this week i am knitting a wrap sweater for bgw - and working on socks for sfs too. i have to admit i've dropped down in my knitting time on socks to the 30 minutes a day i have promised.. but i do want to try to get other things done for the little wonder that will be bgw.

i will try to post more regularly. honest i will LOL

in honor and respect.. one last look... one last song.. thank you rascal flats.. the song is WHY... and the question is the same...
a quote:
"here is the deepest secret that nobody knows - here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud and the sky of the sky of a tree called life...and here is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart - i carry your heart - i carry it in my heart..." always
