so, monday's it appears to be...

... the mists rise and it is monday again... i've not posted since last monday.. so maybe mondays it is.  Heaven knows there is not enough in the day-to-day to keep myself on tenterhooks, let alone a reading audience.

... knitting content - i have been in search of regia stretch in a discontinued color - #71 - which is a green - for a week now.   The person who team knit socks for me (machine knit the legs on antique knitting machine) got more pairs of legs out of the yarn i sent than i could accommodate with yarn for hand-knit feet.   so i've been emailing and scurrying looking for sufficient balls of this color to finish the legs in question - it seems sooooo wasteful to have to unravel a whole leg to make a foot... bottom line?  so far i have one skein here... one skein purchased from a store, one skein found on ravelry and purchased from a stash, 3/4 skein coming from the group (i can make a sock with 3/4) and two legs going begging.. but i am not done yet.. lol.. what is the difference between me and a rottweiler?  the rottie eventually gives up.

i've knit this week three pairs of "Sockies"  fingerless gloves for a gift for a friend's kids.  i have one more glove to do and the three pairs are done.  i'll snap them promise.

we have white all around.. and since it's been the news of the week in review.. i will leave it at that...
