sometimes it's a weight...
... and this week has been one of those times....
... my sock wars socks are gone... my green socks are at the toe decreases... my "legs" knit by Maria H have arrived just this day... and i will work on them and finish the greens and keep knitting socks until my fingers don't move anymore.

and Kelly Clarkson.... Be Still.... Haunted... Maybe... i know you know but i have no affiliation at all - and thank you youtube for making all that music possible for the masses... I picked a Wuthering Heights video for the Haunted cd - good stuff - listen and watch - gotta love the brontes...

ne... here is a photo essay on how the legs for socks are knit on an antique sock knitting machine - thanks Maria for the pics!
the first is winding the yarn ... the second is what marian sees down in the bowels of the machine.. and the third are legs... separated by waste yarns... outstanding.. no?

It's a pleasure to help out so we can get more socks to the soldiers.
